The Best Roofing for High-Wind Areas

Our highly engineered metal roofing and wall systems blow the competition away.

Storms Increase in Number and Intensity Every Year

When a breeze teases your hair into your face, you brush it behind your ear, not thinking twice. But in hurricane-prone areas, like Tornado Alley, the Gulf Coast, Ohio, West Virginia and bordering East coast states, a refreshing breath of air can mutate into a destructive power. A howling gale threatens the very integrity of your home. Every raging gust causes ear-splitting crashes and tosses debris into the air. These relentless natural forces tear apart conventional roofing systems, resulting in billions of dollars in damage every year. The sad news? The numbers are on the rise.

Be Prepared With a Protective Armor

You can find solace during a storm, cocooned in the strength of a metal system Spengler Industries crafted specifically for hurricane-prone areas. It’s more than functional. It stands as a fortress. We don’t just depend on the strength of metal, or the strategic choice of the alloy. It’s the combination of well-manufactured materials and engineering techniques that matter most. As the wind dismantles structures, landscapes and livelihoods, our products stand their ground, resilient against the threat of ruin.

An Unstoppable Pursuit in Engineering Advancements

Spengler Industries proudly introduces metal roofing systems with unparalleled durability. Our systems require zero maintenance and possess a beauty you have never seen. You’ll sip your lemonade on the front porch and toast the quality and craftsmanship of our design. But when the skies blacken and you see your windows bowing to the fury of the wind, you’ll gain a more profound appreciation for the interlocking shingles that have been tested and proven in extreme environments for years. When a treacherous storm slams against your front doors, you can trust that when the squall passes, you and your family will be protected and safe.

Systems:

It all boils down to good, better and best. A system with dimension, like Prairie Panels, provides a good, solid option for windy climates. A better option might be a system with a horizontal layout, like our Quadro Panels or Plumeria system. The best systems we can recommend are our interlocking diamond shingles, hexagon shingles or a double-locked standing seam. Depending on the wind load, some of these systems will require extra fasteners. It is absolutely possible to build a beautiful, maintenance-free system in locations susceptible to high winds, but it is best to consult with us first.

Metals:

It might surprise you to know that we recommend ALL types of metal for high wind areas. The durability and strength of metal make it the most economical, practical choice for roofing. When manufactured to lock together, even an angry tempest can’t tear them apart. Our design minimizes damages and you walk away with a roof intact.
