Metal Building Materials and Finishes

Your all-in-one resource to explore all our materials, finishes and products you need for any building project.

Galvalume

Galvalume® is a steel product coated with an alloy consisting primarily of zinc and aluminum, designed to enhance corrosion resistance. This coating offers the sacrificial properties of zinc combined with the durable barrier protection of aluminum, making it highly effective against corrosion. Commonly used for roofing, siding and other applications, Galvalume defines durability. It is valued for its ability to withstand harsh environmental conditions and its impressively long lifespan. Its affordability, coupled with a variety of PVDF paint options, make it a practical and visually appealing choice.

Aluminum

Aluminum provides a lightweight and malleable solution for metal roofing. We offer it almost exclusively for marine environments with high air salinity.  Even directly on the ocean, the material is warrantied for 20 years. It is also the premium choice for corrosive regions: areas subject to volcanic emissions, or high pollution. You can enjoy it in a range of PVDF paint finishes.

Copper

Timeless and virtually maintenance-free, copper is a premium metal for roofing. Whether in bare, chemically treated, oxidized, or pre-patinated finishes, copper ages gracefully, adding value to buildings over centuries. The broad range of finishes cater to diverse weather conditions.

Terne

Terne, pure tin coating a stainless steel substrate, combines durability with a changing patina over time. Ideal for various roof types and settings, it is particularly suited to historic restoration applications. You can order any color of paint you choose, but must follow a specific method and application steps to ensure the longest lifespan on the paint.

Zinc

Known for its beauty, durability, and workability, zinc offers a timeless option for metal roofing. While installation may require expertise, its patination process enhances its aesthetic over time. With applications ranging from urban to rural settings, zinc stands out for its longevity and low maintenance requirements.

Stainless Steel

Stainless steel, known for its exceptional durability, is an ideal choice for roofing and wall cladding. Depending on location, budget and application, we can order various grades. For highly corrosive or marine locations, we require a Duplex grade stainless steel. It thrives in coastal and extreme weather conditions. Stainless offers versatility in finishes such as chromium oxide and titanium nitride, which can last for hundreds of years.

Brass

This unique choice can be used for architectural building envelopes requiring an extra level of sophistication. It offers durability and aesthetic appeal. Initially shiny gold, it develops a bronze patina over time. With corrosion resistance similar to copper, brass requires minimal maintenance. Its workability allows for intricate designs, contributing to the building’s visual appeal and structural integrity. Ideal for roofing and cladding, brass adds timeless elegance to architectural designs.

Titanium Nitride

Titanium Nitride is a high quality ceramic coating known for its high hardness, corrosion resistance, heat resistance and excellent wear resistance. You’ve probably encountered this coating on tool bits and cutting tools. This coating can be applied to a base metal using vapor deposition evaporation, sputtering, ion plating or chemical vapor deposition. As you can imagine, it offers unparalleled wear resistance.

Chromium Oxide

No need for color pigments or lacquer applications when we use an electrochemical process to create our Chromium Oxide materials. As the color bonds organically to the base, it creates an elastic surface that can be applied to the wall AND roof. Its prismatic color variations gleam in resplendent iridescence, or in the deepest, most luscious, enchanting color you’ve ever seen. If you prefer, we can also create any color in a luxurious, solid, matte finish. This can suit highly corrosive environments or marine locations and will last forever.

Titanium

Titanium, one of the strongest and lightest metals, ensures a durable and sustainable roofing option. Resistant to fire, hail, and corrosion, it excels in extreme environments. With a lifespan potentially exceeding a thousand years, titanium is the epitome of permanent, maintenance-free, and environmentally-friendly building solutions.
