Transforming Distillery Architecture: Diamond Shingles Adorn Grand Barn Doors

by Christina

At the heart of California’s picturesque landscape, where the sun kisses the rolling hills, lies a distillery unlike any other. Nestled amidst the vineyards and olive groves, this distillery stands as a testament to the fusion of tradition and innovation, where every detail tells a story of taste and innovation. Enhancing the architectural splendor are the magnificent barn doors, adorned with Spengler Industries’ diamond shingles in terne and copper.

The Distinctive Touch of Diamond Shingles:

When it came to the barn doors, our client sought something truly exceptional. He resourcefully used some of the leftover copper and terne diamond shingles he had used on several of his buildings on the property to enhance his barn – style sliding doors. He designed a large, terne diamond in the center for dramatic effect.

No Galvanic Issues:

Copper and terne can be combined without any galvanic issues. Terne is tin over stainless. Neither tin, nor stainless steel is reactive with copper. Check out our galvanic chart here: https://spenglerindustries.com/galvanic-chart/

Traditional to Elevated Farmhouse:

We think this is a masterclass in design. This works well with traditional European, to elevated farmhouse styles. It takes a beautifully designed building and bumps it up to a full on, tasteful art piece that introduces the building beautifully.
