Custom diamond shingles for complex geometry

Our diamond shingles are well engineered and can be installed on a number of different surfaces as ordered with no modifications. Even slight convex or concave surfaces like this project in Washington state require no additional manipulation:

And though beautiful architectural features like this exquisite onion dome (we made several of these for a church in Canada) look tricky, the shingles used for this project are the same, standard pieces we’d provide for a simple wall cladding:

Though our metal diamond shingles are extremely intuitive and easy to use “as is” for most applications, not every architectural feature gets away without necessary modifications. Domes and turrets are some of the most notoriously difficult architectural features to cover. But we can do it! Here’s what to plan for:

We’ll help you with your measurements. Since every sequential row will build on the one before, it is essential initial measurements are correct. Each shingle will be slightly smaller in size than that of the preceding row. Because of this and because perfectly built substructures with no aberrant features are rare, we typically recommend building and sending out 5-6 rows at a time with new measurements sent to us upon each installation batch.

Turrets and domes aside, other features like this really cool project also need a bit of modification:

The radius on the bends here are rather tight, so we modified the shingles prior to shipping for ease of installation and a beautiful, smooth finish. We make technically difficult features look effortless though simple modifications to our standard metal shingles.

We are experts in crafting and calculating metal shingles and all other metal radius features and other complex architectural features. If you have a building with complex geometry on which you’d like to clad with custom built metal shingles, we can help!
