We were approached to clad a very complex radius structure with copper panels for a project in North Adams, MA. This project was exceptionally tricky and caused us to think long and hard about the best way to solve for the issues at hand.
The building, affectionately referred to as an “armadillo shape” in discussions, seamlessly moves from a low slope covering the roof to sides of the building. This was further complicated by the long panel sizes, which are very difficult to design to form to a compound curve without causing oil canning.
In all, we created around 800 panels, all custom and all in different sizes.

He indicated he did not encounter any issues on panel sizes or problems with panel fit.
