Terne stainless steel shingles custom made for a turret
We posted this picture in full size so you can see all the details. Each shingle on the turret is custom made for each row. We built each shingle in our shop and have never once visited the project site. The installer gave us the measurements and we calculated everything from there.
No caulk. No cheap crutches. Every piece fits perfectly.
You’ll notice how the first rows installed at the base are more matte than the top rows. This is the natural weathering process of terne. Our terne metal is a thick layer of tin over a stainless steel substrate. It offers the strength of stainless steel with the weathering properties of tin. Unlike the old version of terne with poisonous lead and sacrificial zinc that eventually weathers off, our 100% tin version is a permanent material made to last many generations. It will continue to weather and change over time and “live” in its own way.
We also made the beautiful ornamental finial on top to our client’s specifications. We are a one stop shop for anything high-quality metal roofing related.
